Senior Consultant

Role

We are seeking a candidate to lead and deliver small projects or support a project leader in the delivery of larger projects, aiming to achieve specific time, cost, and quality targets. The role typically involves working alongside one other (senior) consultant and 5 to 7 client task force members.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include achieving workstream objectives with the client taskforce by applying Accelerant methodologies and tools, managing performance through the setup, monitoring, and actioning of KPIs, building and maintaining relationships with key individuals at all levels both internally and externally, and transferring skills and knowledge to clients and team members through coaching, mentoring, and training.

Contribute to Accelerant by demonstrating the quality of work to the client, identifying additional areas where Accelerant can add value, feeding intellectual capital created during projects back into the company, appraising the project team and conducting feedback meetings, and participating in and contributing to internal initiatives such as learning, development, and recruitment.

Skills profile

Abilities or techniques that have been acquired or developed through training:

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • 4-5 years of experience in one of Accelerant’s key industry sectors, coupled with the ability to work effectively in a consulting environment.
  • Fluency in the local language and English, plus proficiency in one other West-European language.
  • Knowledge of Change Management.
  • Awareness of Accelerant’s core capabilities, such as Supply Chain Management, Asset Management, Process Excellence, and Organisational Effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify trends, patterns, connections, and discrepancies within data, ideas, events, or behaviours; the ability to condense complex data and communicate it in a useful format; and the ability to break down complex tasks into manageable chunks and address them systematically.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to understand political relationships within organisations, identify key decision-makers and influencers, engage relevant client staff, and anticipate and prepare for pushback.
  • Commercial acumen, encompassing both financial and operational aspects.
  • Proficient user of MS Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
