We start the scoping process by diving deep into your unique needs, situation, timeline, and resources. Our consultants conduct an on-site walkthrough to understand your operation and objectives firsthand. From there, we define an in-depth scope of work and identify the deployment model that best suits your company. Using both qualitative and quantitative analyses, we develop hypotheses about potential improvement opportunities for your operation. We then assess whether the budget, timeline, and cultural fit are optimal for moving the project forward.
We prioritize you, using every evaluation tool at our disposal to grasp your operation and challenges. We develop multiple hypotheses for potential improvements and assess each option from a technical, cultural, and timing perspective to ensure our mutual success moving forward.
Building on the foundation established during the scoping phase, our analysis and program design phase prepares for operational improvement. We evaluate each proposed solution, conduct a feasibility and cost assessment, design an implementation plan, and collaborate with your team to prioritize solution paths. From there, we develop a more detailed scope of work.
Solution options range from a holistic overhaul of your operation to a highly tactical plan addressing a specific issue. Each option includes a complete calculation of expected investment and return, making it easier to prioritize projects. Typically, multiple options emerge from our assessment.
Implementation is our core business at Accelerant. We believe in “people building people building performance.” We typically begin by designing the to-be performance management system (PMS). This involves defining the required meetings, the terms of reference for these meetings (TOR), the relevant KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business process execution, and the appropriate roles and responsibilities (RACI). Implementing the PMS instills discipline in the organization, driving changes in behaviors and working practices, and enhancing interactions among team members.
These behavioral changes lead to more effective and efficient process execution. Our team trains your people in new tools and techniques, such as root cause analysis, to improve their performance. Improved processes result in better operational outcomes (the leading indicators), which ultimately enhance financial results (the lagging indicators). During the implementation phase, we quantitatively measure behavior change by tracking the maturity of the PMS. This maturity needs to reach a certain level to ensure that the results achieved are sustainable. Our involvement typically continues until this maturity level is attained.
